“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it” (Zechariah 12:3).

Any observer of the headlines today, with God’s prophetic Word as a prism through which to look in discerning the times, can understand how quickly things are setting up for the Tribulation. No leader is more observably at the helm in steering the world toward the seventieth week of Daniel (Daniel 9:26–27) than the American president. His administration is on the fastest track possible in attempting to force the U.S. into the new world order configuration so long dreamed of by the humanists-elite.

In the seven months since his inauguration, Mr. Obama has moved the country from its envy-of-the-world free-market system; he has gathered under his socialistic wing of control America’s banking industry and automobile industry; and he has his eyes set on putting the nation’s entire health industry under his absolute authority. Additionally, he is aiming toward as quickly as possible binding America’s citizenry under global environmental controls that will forever put Americans under energy prices that will make it impossible to maintain a lifestyle anything like Americans have been used to living. His projected multi-trillion dollar deficits would mortgage the financial futures of American’s progeny forever.

Yet, in terms of the dangers presented by these changes this president plans for the U.S., his and the other world leaders’ dealings with Israel at present far exceed the insane actions just mentioned.

France demands that Israel stop the building of homes for Jewish citizens in East Jerusalem. French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, in letting France’s demand be known, said Tuesday, July 21,

“The Israeli ambassador in Washington was summoned and the ambassador in Paris has now been summoned to the Foreign Ministry…”

The Obama administration is leading the way for other world leaders to follow in forcing Israeli citizens to give up property in Jerusalem, which God calls the “apple of His eye.”

France’s bold move, coupled with increasingly harsh criticism of Israel by Russia, have strengthened U.S. President Barack Obama’s determination to enforce his demands that Israel stop construction for Jews. American officials said that the building activity is a negative factor on negotiations with the Palestinian Authority. Neither the State Department nor the White House has commented whether its demands extend to construction for Arabs…

The apparent restriction on Jews in effect would remove from negotiations the status of eastern Jerusalem, which was restored to the Jewish State in the Six-Day War forty-two years ago. Hundreds of buildings in the area are owned by Jews who were forced to leave their homes under the British Mandate and during the War of Independence in 1948… (Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu, “Worldwide Coalition: Media Putting Israel in Corner,” Israel National News, July 22, 2009).

President Obama calls the Jewish settlements illegitimate and demands that the Jews be cleared from East Jerusalem so the Palestinians can be settled there. The approximately three hundred thousand Jewish people living there are the hold-up to getting agreements necessary to move forward with the “Roadmap to Peace” effort. Moving these people will, he avers, make it possible to move forward for a peace he intends to hammer out with the same dazzling speed with which he has tried to bring America into new-world-order compliance.

There is an explosive dynamic building in the matter of America and the rest of the world powers-that-be making demands on Israel.

[Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu told the Cabinet this week that Israel has complete sovereignty over all of Jerusalem and decides issues such as building permits. Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon declared on Tuesday, “Israel will continue to operate in accordance with its vital national interests… Our right to rule and develop Jerusalem is irrefutable” (Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu, “US Policy: Jews in Eastern Jerusalem are Unwanted ‘Settlers,’” Israel National News, July 22, 2009).

The opposition to U.S. and international community leaders wanting to bully Israel doesn’t end there. Even liberal Likud members like Intelligence Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor, who is one of the most dovish members of the Knesset – having been in favor of giving up the Golan Heights for peace — was irate over the demands.

Meridor proclaims that former President George Bush’s informal commitment not to uproot the Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem should be honored. But, Mr. Obama has declared that the agreement was never a formal one, thus does not have to be fulfilled.

In my view, this bit of subterfuge displayed by the Obama administration is but a foreshadowing of things the Jewish leadership — who will ultimately sign the covenant made with death and hell of Isaiah Chapter 28 — can expect. For America and all nations of the world, such luciferically spawned dealings with God’s chosen people, in my opinion, constitute a dangerous game of brinkmanship beyond calculation. The result will be Armageddon (Joel 3:2).

All of this was confirmed by Israeli officials, and it was a clear signal that Israel is able to put its strike force within range of Iran on short notice.

Additionally, Israel has strengthened ties with Arab nations that also fear a nuclear-armed Iran. In particular, relations with Egypt have grown increasingly strong this year over the “shared mutual distrust of Iran.” Israeli naval vessels would likely pass through the Suez Canal for an Iranian strike.

These exercises are a message to Iran that Israel is serious about defending herself. It is believed that Israel’s missile-equipped submarines, and its fleet of advanced aircraft, could be used to strike at in excess of a dozen nuclear-related targets more than 800 miles from Israel.

Is this just saber rattling with little substance? No. Israel knows it must strike Iran’s nuclear plants before Iran is capable of seriously launching nukes at Israel’s main cities in retaliation. If Israel strikes now, Iran is not yet capable of retaliating with her own nukes. Yes, she would retaliate in other ways, but they wouldn’t decimate Israel. The region could be spared devastation if Israel acted in the next few weeks to a few months. If Israel waits a year or more, Iran will have the nuclear capability to send the region – and world oil supply – into utter chaos.

The Jews ignored the warnings of the 1930s to get out of Europe. They could not comprehend that a mad man had come on the scene who was serious about exterminating all of European Jewry. The Pharaohs and Hamans of Bible times weren’t enough of a signal that such evil abounds then and now. The “new Hitler,” Ahmadinejad, is far more dangerous than the old Hitler. He did not have technology and nuclear weapons.

In 1973 during the Yom Kippur War, Israel was caught by surprise. Israel kept delaying the deployment of troops. Not until the morning of Yom Kippur (October 6), about six hours before the Arab offensive, were Israeli officials convinced that war was imminent, and a mobilization of the reserves ordered. By then it was almost too late. But Israeli action, even though delayed, was so stunning that the Soviet Union threatened direct military intervention. Again, the world could have been plunged into a global disaster all because Israel waited too long.

Israel’s victory in this war cost 2,400 lives and an estimated $5 billion of which more than $1 billion was airlifted by the U.S. during a time in the war when Israel’s outcome looked bleak. There actually could have been a military escalation between superpowers in 1973, all because Israel did not heed the proper warnings before October 1973.

She will not make these mistakes again! It’s kill or be killed now.

Any kind of military strike in the Middle East will affect you directly. You need to take these issues seriously and be in prayer. The Middle East is called the “epicenter” for a reason. It is the center of the earth geographically, politically, and religiously.

It does not help to have America’s president tell Jewish leaders, as he did last week, that they must engage in self-reflection. Obama says there is a narrow window of opportunity for advancing the peace process and that he plans to speak openly and honestly with Israel just as he did with the Arab nations in Cairo. But in Cairo, he primarily praised Islam, his own Islamic heritage, and bad-mouthed America. Obama ignored the rejectionism of the Arab world against Israel and the ongoing wars and waves of Arab terror directed against the Jewish state since the day of its creation. He also compared the Palestinians to the U.S. civil rights movement.

His “engagement” and benign relationship with corrupt and despotic Arab regimes contrasts starkly with the tough talk conveyed to Israel at a time in history when once again, without God’s intervention, Israel is facing extinction if she doesn’t act and act quickly. She knows America is no longer her trusted friend. And no, God would not allow her extinction.

It’s time Obama tell the Arab/Muslim world – and not Israel – to engage in self-reflection! It’s time he tell them that the world’s economy, already in a free fall, could spin out of control if there is a war in the Middle East sparked by Iran’s thirst for nuclear weapons as soon as possible! It’s time he tell them to dismantle all suicide bombers whose target is innocent Israelis (and other victims such as those in Jakarta last week). It’s time Obama leave Israel alone, quit telling her to dismantle settlements, and quit trying to divide Jerusalem.

Obama’s policy can be summarized as “Israelis should give and Palestinians should take.” It amounts to appeasing the Arabs, humiliating Israel and, in the process, undermining the security of the Jewish state, the entire Middle East, and the rest of the world. Right when Israel needs every friend she can get (although the Bible says just the opposite will be the case), when Iranian nukes are being designed to fly down smokestacks in Tel Aviv and Haifa, America’s president is lecturing and scolding Israel and telling her to “engage in self-reflection”? I suggest President Obama exercise some of his own self-reflection! (Also see Ezekiel 38:22, 23 for more of God’s miraculous intervention when no nations come to Israel’s defense.)

American Jews who voted overwhelmingly to elect Obama should not remain silent. They are entitled to press him to adhere to his commitment and treat the Jewish state in an even-handed manner. Together with other friends of Israel, they should discourage Obama from offering Israel as a sacrificial lamb on the altar of Arab appeasement. In urging Obama not to abandon Israel, they would also be promoting the U.S. national interest. History cannot point to a single instance in which appeasement of jihadists or tyrants has ever borne fruit.

Yet appeasement seems to be Obama’s middle name. John Lennon would be happy were he still alive. The world’s superpower, America, just loves to give peace a chance in all the wrong places.

Keep your eyes on the epicenter. It could literally explode in the coming weeks or months. Israel must act quickly no matter what the cost.

In recent months, the world has finally realized that America is a debtor nation, funding its standard of living through an endless issuance of debt securities. The wake-up call was certainly the sub-prime financial meltdown. Easy credit, much of it from abroad, created an equity bubble that nearly drove every major bank in America into bankruptcy. The need for bailout and stimulus money caused the U.S. budget deficit to zoom to $1.8 trillion for this fiscal year.

U.S. stocks rose for a fourth day, the longest streak in six weeks, as economist Nouriel Roubini said the worst of the financial crisis is over and reiterated that the recession may end this year, while takeover speculation lifted commodity shares.

“The freefall of the economy has stopped,” Roubini said at a Chilean investors’ conference in New York. “There is light at the end of the tunnel. And the light at the end of the tunnel for once is not the one of an incoming train.”

Allrightythen!! Let’s all celebrate and, for a day at least, try and forget all the doom and gloom of Christian persecution, militant homosexual agendas, Israel attacking Iran, out of control government spending, Obamanation, out of control consumerism, famine, pestilence, increasing frequency of major earthquakes, unsustainable borrowing and radical Islam. At least the stock market is up from it’s miserable lows of February!!

Simply put, if God has further plans for America, as a Christian nation, to fulfill His plans on planet earth…then we shall survive and start spending again like we never missed a beat.

On the other hand, if God is going to turn his personal attention to Israel and “the times of the Gentiles” are about over…then this could simply be what we call a “dead cat bounce” and the financial system could slam shut like a trap.

We should keep praying for this nation and it’s leaders and keep our eyes focused on eternal things….and keep listening for The Last Trumpet and the voice of our Lord saying, “Come up here!”

Factor 1: President Obama’s plan to draw Iran into an arms-length working relationship to help the U.S. establish stable governments in Iraq and Afghanistan and to restrain terrorist activities in the region have clearly been dashed. If there was ever any hope of that plan working, it was clearly rejected by the Ayatollahs and Ahmadinejad when they smashed the popular rebellion of citizens over the rigged Presidential election. If Obama had any plans to force Iran to abandon their headlong pursuit of producing nuclear weapons, it was clearly rejected by the current Iranian leadership. The Obama administration has indicated by its failure to act against both Iran and North Korea’s flagrant violations of U.N. warnings that it has no intention of taking the only option left to stop Iran – military action.

Factor 2: In the light of this, the Saudi and Egyptian leaders now recognize that the U.S. has no plan to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program. They, along with other Muslim Middle East oil producing nations realize that their futures are in great peril if Iran goes nuclear and becomes the dominant Muslim power in the world. A former head of research in Israeli intelligence said, “The Saudis are very concerned about an Iranian nuclear bomb, even more that the Israelis.”

So it appears that The Saudis and Egyptians have adopted a strategic principle from Muhammad – “the enemy of my enemy is my friend!”

Referring to a leak from a ‘diplomatic source’, The London Sunday Times reported that Saudi officials have agreed in secret talks with Mossad Chief Meir Dagan to turn a blind eye to Israeli planes if they fly over kingdom to attack Iranian nuclear sites.

In any Muslim secret understanding with Israel, it is understood that they must always have public “deniability”. And as soon as the Sunday Times reported this leak, the denials from the Saudis, Egyptians and Israel were predictably immediate.

Factor 3: Another factor that indicates that an Israeli attack on Iran is imminent was revealed on July 3rd. DEBKAfile gave a special report on an Israeli Dolphin class submarine’s move from the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean via the Suez Canal. This was ostensibly done to take part in naval maneuvers in the Eilat-Red Sea area. This submarine has the ability to launch advanced nuclear-armed cruise missiles through its torpedo tubes. This is a necessary capability for any future attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities. It could not only launch a second strike, but also be used to pick up downed Israeli airmen. For this submarine to move through the Suez Canal required Egyptian approval. And once again, Egypt denied any such thing took place, even though there are pictures of the sub moving through the canal.

Factor 4: In a startling interview by ABC’s George Stephanoupolos of VP Joseph Biden, a tacit “green light” seems to have been telegraphed to Israel that the U.S. will not interfere with any future attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. During the interview, Mr. Biden said, “Look, Israel can determine for itself – it’s a sovereign nation – what’s in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else.”

Factor 5: The most important factor to me is that according to many Bible prophecies about the “last days” reborn State of Israel, it cannot be destroyed. The Messiah will return to a hopelessly surrounded Israeli State and miraculously deliver it. He will then take Israel’s believing remnant and turn the state into the center of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth for a thousand years. If Iran gets nuclear weapons, as reported in another article on this report, It could and would destroy Israel in seconds.

So I believe it is time for all born again believers to pray for God’s people. I believe the long anticipated strike by Israel on Iran is imminent. But it will not be without great cost. Iran has the ability to strike all over Israel with a barrage of ballistic missiles that will cause many casualties. It is horrible to think about, but Israel knows that if they delay until Iran goes nuclear, the casualties will be infinitely worse. So Israel, once again with its very existence at stake, must act alone in its own behalf. And the world stands by and offers no help. Let us stand by them in prayer to their God.

“Muslims and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions.”

Pastor Warren, you needed to compromise the convictions of the Muslims in attendance. To just say that “My deepest faith is in Jesus Christ” was not enough to a thoroughly lost crowd. The hour is too late to withhold a gospel message without which they will face a Christless eternity, and you will be held accountable. The “world’s greatest problems” will always be with us and the Bible says so in Matthew 26:11. Sin is at the root of them. I have to conclude you are more interested in ecumenical unity and solving AIDS, poverty, and other social issues. Last Saturday you were given a golden opportunity that 99.9% of American Christians could never get.

You said you were not interested in interfaith dialogue, but you seize every opportunity to talk to all religions and you always leave out the gospel. You even address Jewish groups but you tell them how to grow a mega-synagogue like your own church, Saddleback. In this “can’t we all get along?” generation, you usually leave out the only good news left: There is salvation in Christ and Christ alone (Acts 4:12), and the hour is late, so make a conscious decision to be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You told ISNA,

“Talk is cheap but love is something we do together. We must do something to model what it is to live in peace, to live in harmony.”

Pastor Warren, you know your Bible better than that, don’t you? The Bible says there will never be peace and harmony in this world until the Messiah rules from His theocratic kingdom. The U.N. spews the same kind of pagan “peace concepts.” Aren’t you above that? You would likely never suggest your Muslim audience pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm122:6), yet you push for foolish and hopeless ecumenical peace!

In your speech you included three suggestions:

1. Create a coalition to end religious stereotyping;
2. Work together to restore civility to American society;
3. Take a common stand against attacks on freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

There is civility in American society, so why are you even suggesting there might not be? But you won’t find much of it in Islamic society. Go see the film, The Stoning of Soraya M, the true story of what happens to a lot of innocent Muslim women. It’s a lot more gross and bloody than any horror flick and this is reality, not fiction. The Muslims you addressed know all about this procedure. ISNA wants Sharia Law everywhere on earth! You missed a golden opportunity to challenge them to stand up to Islamic governments that perpetrate such atrocities.

Pastor Warren, you then went on to say the media was clueless as to what Christians and Muslims believe. They know very well what both faiths believe. They believe Christians are the new Taliban, and they press for hate crime legislation that will protect Muslims. You then said,

“It’s the truth that sets us free.”

Why did you take John 8:32 out of context? You twisted the very words of Jesus when you should have been proclaiming the words of Jesus.

The ISNA stated how impressed they were with your charitable work. What charitable work have they done? As terror expert Steve Emerson says,

“ISNA has has been an umbrella and a promoter of groups that have been involved in terrorism.“

Here again you could have challenged them, but then you would not be invited back had you done so.

Joseph Farah says,

“Suffice it to say the ISNA is no friend of Christianity or America.”

Yet in 2007, Rick Warren was one of many “evangelical leaders” who signed a document begging forgiveness from Muslims for all the evil deeds perpetrated against them by Christians. What evil deeds have true Christians committed against Muslims? Now, Pastor Warren, you’ve gone beyond pandering and are sounding like a fool along with all others who signed that document.

Even the secular Washington Times noted,

“Mr. Warren was sparse in his mentions of Jesus and God.”

We don’t expect you to give altar calls at such meetings as this one. We do expect you to lift high the Name of the Prince of Peace who is coming again and who offers eternal life to all who ask, “What must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30-31).
