After yesterday’s events, there can be only one conclusion about the goal of Barack Obama’s administration–to destroy the U.S. economy, to transform it from one based on free enterprise to one directed by government.

In the last 48 hours, we’ve witnessed a presidential pretender fire the chief executive officer of General Motors and put a gun to the head of the Chrysler Corp., demanding that this U.S. business begin the process of selling out to a foreign automaker.

What do you call it when Obama makes moves to take over the auto industry?

A coupe d’etat.

But it is hardly a joking matter.

Do you realize what just happened?

How does a president fire a CEO?

If Obama can fire the head of a troubled, but legendary corporation like GM and then order its business plan to be rewritten according to his wishes, presidential power has become unlimited. We no longer live in the United States of America that is guided by a Constitution based on the limited power of government. We live in a tyranny, and we’re all subject to the whims of one man.

I have news for you, though: If Obama calls for my resignation as CEO of WND, he needs to know he can have my business when he pries it from my cold, dead fingers.

What’s going on in this country? Has everyone gone mad? Are we all suffering from a new form of collective Alzheimer’s disease? Have we forgotten our roots, our heritage of freedom, our constitutional foundations?

Obama said he has “no intention” of running General Motors. But he fired the CEO and demanded a “better business plan.” Has he ever written a business plan? Has he ever seen one? Of course, this is the trouble with bailouts. Would it not have been better to permit GM to die a dignified death than to be placed in the hands of community organizers?

Obama went on to say he doesn’t want GM and Chrysler to become “wards of the state.” When someone or something becomes a “ward of the state,” by definition, the state gets custody. That’s exactly where these automakers are now. They are in the custody of the state. Where exactly can they go from here? Does anyone really believe the government will ever let go and allow these businesses to operate as businesses?

There’s a name for this kind of government direction of what have traditionally been private corporations. It’s called “fascism.” Look it up. This is what Mussolini did. It’s what Hitler did with what had been a “private sector” in Germany. Just think Volkswagen. Hitler was the impetus behind what we call “the bug.” Volkswagen literally means “people’s car.”

But what does the community organizer in chief know about the car business? What does he know about any kind of business, for that matter? The arrogance of these actions is mind-boggling.

He’s even sending mixed signals–suggesting he does not even know or care about the ultimate outcome. For instance, he said the companies involved and the government might have to consider “using our bankruptcy code” to help in the restructuring he demands. At the same time, he says he will not require the companies to immediately repay government loan money that would force them into Chapter 11.

It’s like directed chaos–which is why I say it is becoming more obvious all the time that the goal is to destroy rather than save or build a viable economy.

He’s not a commander in chief. He’s a destroyer in chief.

I really believe he wants to bring on a depression.

Remember what his chief of staff said: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

It seems like Obama is determined to make the most of the nation’s serious crisis–perhaps by making it even more serious, thereby expanding the opportunity.

The G-20 nations soon will meet in London with various proposals to fix the world economy. You can count on more globalization, more one world order drivel. The headlines will be talking about a worldwide redistribution of wealth-mainly from America-to fight the phantom of global warming; they will mention replacing the dollar as the standard reserve currency because it is to blame for the weakening world economy; they will point out that the nations believe more, not less government is needed to fix the worldwide recession; and more government intervention means more taxes and more nationalization of private enterprise. This crisis these leaders created will be used to advance the one world order.

Christians, in particular, will be distressed by the news coming from this summit. The global fixes that will be proposed by these so-called smartest men and women in the world will deny the existence of God, will call on man’s own devices to remedy the problems their greed and elitist politics created, and their agenda will sprint away from the moral cultural issues. These countries will continue to promote homosexuality and abortion as well as separation of church and state. Spawning from this summit, whether it is reported or not, will be a new assault on individual liberty, on traditional family values, and most ardently and viciously, a stepped up attack on anyone who would oppose their genius.

The gathering of all these secular humanist-driven leaders could very well result in the unleashing of prejudice against Jews and Christians that hasn’t been seen since the Crucifixion of Christ and the Roman persecution of Jews in the latter first century. IF you stand for God’s brand of liberty, you will be faced with challenges that you have not seen in your generation. The body of Christ here on earth will soon be forced by events to decide what it is going to be. Those who stand on the doctrines of men will not be able to withstand the onslaught of what is about to occur. Kumbya Christianity, the emergent church, seeker sensitive, name it-claim it, personal prophetic indulgence all will be sorely put to the test.

God’s kingdom people must understand that it is the Word of God, the gospel of truth, that must be spread. The “tickle the ear” doctrines of men must be laid aside in order to spread the gospel. Jesus said in Matthew 24:35,

There is a book on the market called “The Shack” which masquerades as some sort of “Christian” message about the Trinity. It is infiltrating so many churches and seducing so many undiscerning church goers that it needs to be exposed for the disgrace that it is. Eugene Petersen had this to say “This book has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan’s ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’ did for his. It’s that good!” It should scare any Christian that Eugene Petersen is somehow allowed to teach in any Bible college let alone command respect as a commentator on anything Christian. I’m still scratching my head as to how his pathetic “The Message” gets passed off as a Bible translation. But Petersen isn’t the only one buying into the multitude of heresies propogated by William Young’s bogus work of fiction. Michael W Smith is another of several high profile people to endorse “The Shack”.

To be clear from the outset, the god of “The Shack” is not the God of Scripture and is an imposter of the worst kind. Preacher and Scholar Dr Michael Youssef preached a sermon recently which exposed 13 major heresies taught within the pages of “The Shack”.

Here they are listed below:

1. God the Father was crucified with Jesus (p96).

Because God’s eyes are pure and cannot look upon sin, the Bible says that God would not look upon His own beloved Son as He hung on the Cross, carrying our sins (Habakkuk 1:13; Matthew 27:45).

2. God is limited by His love and cannot practice justice (p102).

The Bible declares that God’s love and His justice are two sides of the same coin — equally a part of the personality and the character of God (Isaiah 61:8; Hosea 2:19).

3. On the Cross, God forgave all of humanity, whether they repent or not. Some choose a relationship with Him, but He forgives them all regardless (p225).

Jesus explained that only those who come to Him will be saved (John 14:6).

4. Hierarchical structures, whether they are in the Church or in the government, are evil (122).

Our God is a God of order (Job 25:2).

5. God will never judge people for their sins (p120).

The Word of God repeatedly invites people to escape from the judgment of God by believing in Jesus Christ, His Son (Romans 2:16; 2 Timothy 4:1-3).

6. There is not a hierarchical structure in the Godhead, just a circle of unity (p122).

The Bible says that Jesus submitted to the will of the Father. This doesn’t mean that one Person is higher or better than the other; just unique. Jesus said, “I came to do the will of Him who sent me. I am here to obey my Father.” Jesus also said, “I will send you the Holy Spirit” (John 4:34, 6:44, 14:26, 15:26).

7. God submits to human wishes and choices (p145).

Far from God submitting to us, Jesus said, “Narrow is the way that leads to eternal life.” We are to submit to Him in all things, for His glory and because of what He has accomplished for us (Matthew 7:13-15).

8. Justice will never take place because of love (p164).

The Bible teaches that when God’s love is rejected, and when the offer of salvation and forgiveness is rejected, justice must take place or God has sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for nothing (Matthew 12:20; Romans 3:25-26).

9. There is no such a thing as eternal judgment or torment in hell (p248).

Jesus’ own description of hell is vivid … it cannot be denied (Luke 12:5, 16:23).

10. Jesus is walking with all people in their different journeys to God, and it doesn’t matter which way you get to Him (p182).

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one will come to the Father but by me” (John 14:6).

11. Jesus is constantly being transformed along with us (p182).

Jesus, who dwells in the splendor of heaven, sits at the right hand of God, reigning and ruling the universe. The Bible says, “In Him there is no change, for He is yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 11:12, 13:8; James 1:17).

12. There is no need for faith or reconciliation with God because everyone will make it to heaven (p122,192).

Jesus said, “Only those who believe in me will have eternal life” (John 3:15, 3:36, 5:24, 6:40).

13. The Bible is not true because it reduces God to paper (p65,66,134,198).

The Bible is God-breathed. Sure, there were many men through 1,800 years who put pen to paper (so to speak), each from different professions and different backgrounds, but the Holy Spirit infused their work with God’s words. These men were writing the same message from Genesis to Revelation. If you want to read more about the place of Christ in the Scripture, read “We Preach Christ” (2 Timothy 3:16).

For more than a century, the idea of a world government has persisted. From Cecil Rhodes’ vision of a global British Empire, to Woodrow Wilson’s vision of a League of Nations, to Franklin Roosevelt’s creation of the United Nations, this dream of a world government has advanced. In Berlin, Barack Obama announced that he is a “citizen of the world.” He and his administration are about to pay homage to that global citizenship.

The people who created the League of Nations for Woodrow Wilson were behind-the-scenes advisers. In the United States, Wilson’s advisers were known as Edward Mandell House’s “Inquiry.” In England, the government was advised by Alfred Milner’s group called the “Chatham House Gang,” created by Cecil Rhodes in 1891. These two groups drafted the Treaty of Versailles, which ended the First World War and created the League of Nations.

The global economic crisis is bad and getting worse, and calls for sweeping changes are growing. China is now so concerned about instability within the international economic system its leaders are heading into the April 2nd G20 summit in London calling for the creation of a new global “super currency,” a stable, simple, single, common form of foreign exchange. “The surprise proposal by Beijing’s central bank governor reflects unease about its vast holdings of U.S. government bonds and adds to Chinese pressure to overhaul a global financial system dominated by the dollar and Western governments,” reports the AP. “Both the United States and the European Union brushed off the idea.” China joins leaders in Russia, Iran, Libya and Kazakhstan who have called for a new single currency in some shape or form in recent weeks.

The Bank of England, meanwhile, is telling British Prime Minister Gordon Brown that the U.K. simply cannot afford a new stimulus (read: government spending) plan.

Now a senior European leader is calling the U.S. spend-your-way-out-of-the-crisis plan (involving $9.3 trillion in new debt over the next decade) an absolute disastrous approach. “The president of the European Union on Wednesday slammed U.S. plans to spend its way out of recession as ’ road to hell,’” reports the AP. “Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, whose country currently holds the rotating EU presidency, told the European Parliament that President Barack Obama’s massive stimulus package and banking bailout ‘will undermine the liquidity of the global financial market.’ A day after his government collapsed because of a parliamentary vote of no-confidence, Topolanek took the EU presidency on a collision course with Washington over how to deal with the global economic recession.”

At the end of the 19th century London was the capital of a global superpower. Through aggressive colonization the British Empire then controlled more geography than any previous world power. By the end of World War II, however, Britain’s excesses had plunged the country into economic devastation.

In July, 1944, a world economic summit was held at Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. This groundbreaking international gathering included 730 delegates from over 40 Allied nations. Established at this conference were the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the General Agreement on Trades and Tariffs, later known as the World Trade Organization. The United States linked its dollar to gold at $35 per ounce and all other currencies then linked to the U.S. dollar. This gave America and the U.S. dollar global economic supremacy, all backed by gold.

• A growing aversion by foreign nations to hold U.S. dollars

Assume at the beginning of 2002 you placed $10,000 into 3-month U.S. Treasury Bills. At the end of 5 years the buying power of your dollars would have decreased by $116.19, or 1.2%. If, however, you had put only $5000 into Treasury Bills and bought gold with $2500 and silver with $2500, your buying power would have increased by $5,977.28, or 59.8%.

Today America’s deficits are hitting all-time highs, the credit crisis worsens daily, and the money supply expands at a record pace, triggering fears of widespread inflation. Clearly, a financial day of reckoning awaits this country and its arrival will become a rude awakening to all who are not prepared. Unfortunately, the U.S. government is doing little to prevent this impending dollar collapse.

Seeing what lies ahead should make Christians glad our true investments are safe in Heaven where “neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Matthew 6:20)

Growing up in Minnesota, I have been accustomed to purchasing books and other Christian items through Northwestern Book Stores (NBS) located in the Twin Cities. Let me say right up front that NBS have done a great job in the past of promoting the true gospel of Jesus Christ and that I have benefited greatly from their existence in my own personal Christian growth. However, over the past several years now, I have had a growing deep concern about NBS and its promotion of false teaching.

Last week before leaving on vacation, I walked into one of the NBS located in the Twin Cities. Honestly, I was shocked. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing-not just in the book aisles as I searched for Joel Rosenberg’s “Inside The Revolution” and Mark Hitchcock’s, “The Late Great United States” to read on vacation, but even more so what I was seeing front and center as I walked into the store.

I’m sad to report that false teaching permeates NBS and has become the norm in many Christian book stores and publishers all across America. It’s common today when you walk into Christian book stores like NBS to see the promotion of false teachers such as “The Shack’s” William P. Young, Joel Osteen, Rhonda Byrnes, T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, John Avanzini, Benny Hinn, Neal Donald Walsh, Kenneth Hagin, Charles Capps, Oral Roberts, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Paul and Jan Crouch, John Hagee, Rod Parsley, Todd Bentley, Paula White, Fred Price, Jerry Savelle, Robert Tilton, Marilyn Hickey, Morris Cerullo, Miles Munroe, Jesse Duplantis, Steve Munsey, Ken Clement, Ed Young, Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen and St. Teresa Avila.

It’s common to see the promotion of false teachers from the Emerging Church Movement such as N.T. Wright, John Howard Yoder, Stanley Hauerwas, Ryan Bolger, Wilbert Shenk, Brian McLaren, Rob Bell, Tony Jones, Doug Pagitt, Erwin McManus, Dan Kimball, Scot McKnight, Elizabeth O’Connor, Nancey Murphy, Leonard Sweet, Richard Foster, Dallas Willard, Donald Miller and Phyllis Tickle.

And we wonder why the church is so messed up!

I don’t know about you, but I get this sick-to-my-stomach feeling every time I go through the NBS doors and I have come to a point where I can no longer support NBS or any other Christian book store or publisher that promotes false teaching that goes directly against the Word of God.

A good friend of mine, who works at one of the NBS in the Twin Cities and who shares the same concern, checked me out and we got to talking about the false teaching that keeps flowing through NBS which led to a discussion on the “The Shack.” He said something that stuck with me that I won’t soon forget. He said, “It’s frightening enough that this book is sold here as a “Christian” book, but what’s even more frightening is that it’s ranked so high on “Christian” best seller lists.” For example, “The Shack” Ranked #4 on Christian Best Sellers Association. You may also be interested in knowing that the author of “The Shack”, William P. Young, has just recently admitted that he Rejects Biblical Substitutionary Atonement.

Some of you may be wondering why Great Adventure Ministries links to the secular Amazon.com for our resources. When we first started this discernment ministry back in May 2008, we linked our resources to Christianbook.com. It didn’t take long to start seeing the promotion of false teaching all over their website. I can remember thinking to myself, “What’s going on with Christian book stores these days? They all seem to be promoting false teaching right along with Biblical teaching!”

To make a long story short-through a lot of prayer and consideration, we decided that it was better to support a secular company that doesn’t proclaim to be “Christian” vs. a company that promotes both Biblical teaching and false teaching that claims to be a “Christian Book Store.” Our philosophy is simple: If you’re going to be a “Christian Book Store”, than only promote “Christian” books that line up with the truth found in the Bible. Otherwise don’t claim to be a “Christian Book Store”-be a secular book store because that’s who you really are.

It’s time for Christian books stores like NBS and others to repent and start exercising Biblical discernment. My sense is that a lot of these false teachings exist in Christian book stores today because (1) their gate keepers have been deceived into believing that false teaching is Biblical teaching and (2) these books that promote false teaching are so popular in many churches today, that they dare not promote them or risk losing revenue. The Bible says that the love of money is “the” root of all kinds of evil.

One can really tell that the International Herald Tribune is the sister publication of the New York Times. Like the New York Times, the IHT never saw a liberal it didn’t love or a conservative it didn’t hate – or a fact its editors couldn’t spin. The Times generally uses the IHT as its international hit man, reserving its own pages to advance the policies of the Democrat Party. The IHT ran a story entitled “Is Global Rebranding What Israel Needs?” The piece opened by recognizing Israel as the world’s pariah state:

Its sports teams have met hostility and violent protests in Sweden, Spain and Turkey. Mauritania has closed the Israeli Embassy. Relations with Turkey, an important Muslim ally, have suffered severely. A group of top international judges and human rights investigators recently called for an investigation into Israel’s actions in Gaza. “Israel Apartheid Week” drew participants in 54 cities around the world this month, twice the number of last year, according to its organizers. And even in the American Jewish community, albeit in its liberal wing, there is a chill.

Having established that everybody hates Israel (even liberal Jews), the columnist, Ethan Bronner, went on to build his case that Israel deserves it:

Of course, for Israel’s critics, including those who firmly support the existence of a Jewish state, the problem is not one of image but of policy. They say that four decades of occupation, the settling of half a million Israeli Jews on land captured in 1967, the economic strangling of Gaza for the past few years and the society’s growing indifference toward a Palestinian state are all reasons Israel has lost favor abroad, and that no amount of image buffing will change that.

Does anybody remember how Israel ended up “occupying” the land it “captured” in 1967? Israel captured it after beating back the combined forces of the Arab world that had launched a war of annihilation against Israel. And this wasn’t the first pan-Arab war aimed at annihilating the Jews – it was the third.

Israel fought them off in 1948. And again in 1956. And then again in 1967. And once again in 1973. This strip of land, so coveted by the Arab world, amounts to less than one-sixth of one percent of the Muslim Middle East.

While we’re on the subject, does anybody remember what it was that spurred the Jews to return to their ancestral homeland in the first place? It was the Holocaust.

The Holocaust wasn’t personally perpetrated by Adolf Hitler. Hitler never killed a single Jew. It was perpetrated by the Germans – aided by Frenchmen, Italians, Romanians, Ukrainians, Arabs, et al, while the Allies did their best not to notice.

The Palestinian State that the rest of the world insists that Israel owes the Palestinians could have been theirs in 1947. They turned it down in favor of a war of annihilation.

Does anybody recall exactly why Israel went back into Gaza? It was because Palestinian terrorists fired more than six thousand rockets into Israeli cities and towns.

The reason that Israel is a pariah nation has absolutely nothing to do with Israeli policies. Israel was a pariah nation before it even had time to formulate national policies. As already noted, long before there was an Israel, the world tried to exterminate the Jews.

After there was an Israel, the Arabs tried to exterminate the Jews. It isn’t the Israeli state – it is the Jews that the world finds so offensive. But what has really caused this race of people to be so hated? This kind of racial hatred is unprecedented in history.

The true reason is this: Israel stands, as God intended, a sign to the nations. Israel was created as a visible proof of the true God’s existence.

Israel’s God of Love and mankind’s redemption stands in sharp contrast to the gods of other religions. Islam’s God is one of war and conquest. Conversion to it is at the point of sword. Its goal is to force the world into submission.

As the Bible declares, Israel was created to receive, write down and preserve God’s Word. It was created to be the race through whom the Savior of the World would be born. Even their failures and disciplines were predicted in order that it would be a proof of the truth of God’s Word. Their ultimate restoration to the land promised their forefathers was predicted in detail. These prophecies have been fulfilled before the eyes of our era.

All of this is lost on the liberal media, just as it apparently has been on the liberal Obama administration. The World Tribune reported this week that Israeli Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi cut short his visit to Washington after getting an “extraordinarily cool” reception from the new U.S. administration.

General Ashkenazi reportedly attempted to arrange meetings with President Obama, Vice President Biden and intelligence czars Bob Gates, Dennis Blair or Michael Mullen. None of them would see him. He had valuable intelligence information about Iran to share with them.

The Tribune quoted an unnamed diplomat who told them, “The administration is sending a very clear message to Israel, and this is we want to talk about Palestine and not Iran.”

When an Iranian-made atomic bomb hits the U.S., they may wish they had never said this.

And Israel Today is reporting that the Obama administration is not just cool to Israel. It alleges that President Obama “is about to break America’s long ties of friendship with Israel, and maybe even take steps toward the dissolution of the Jewish state.”

If true, America is in even more serious trouble than even the most pessimistic assessment can reflect. If America betrays Israel, then America is rejecting the Word of Israel’s God.

The Bible warns, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31) Fearful? That is an understatement of Biblical proportions.

I used to quote a wise saying: “History teaches us that man learns nothing from history.” That doesn’t really apply today. This generation doesn’t even know history – and the liberal media reports the news counting on that.
